She loved making origami birds and flowers. Lori was seen as a “surrogate mom” to many of the students and kept in contact with them throughout her years. for her assistance with the Japanese students. She was formally recognized for her contributions to the program by Aichi U. She was involved in a “Cultural Exchange Program” between Aichi University in Nagoya, Japan and Millersville University. She was predeceased by a brother Yutaka Yoshida.
